MYSO Repertoire

At the Mississippi Youth Symphony Orchestra, we’ve had the joy of performing a wide and varied repertoire for audiences of every kind. Our conductors choose music that not only challenges and develops our musicians’ skills, but also inspires, excites, and entertains our audiences.

Below you’ll find a list of pieces our orchestras have performed in recent seasons. Think of this as a guide to help you prepare for your audition. More importantly, know that we emphasize proper technique and steady skill development at every level. There’s no single “set level” of music required to join us — our conductors consider a combination of prior skill mastery, technical ability, and musicality when evaluating musicians.

What matters most is your combination of musical ability, growth, and potential. Our conductors are looking for musicians who are eager to learn, grow, and make music together.
