MYSO Senior Rayven Jones
Rayven Jones is the daughter of Dr. Rachael Curtis-Thomas and Teshia Thomas. She is a graduating senior at Murrah High School in Jackson, MS. Rayven currently holds a 3.9 GPA and is in the Power Academic and Performing Arts Program (APAC) at her school. She serves as Miss Power APAC for the 2019-2020 school year.
Rayven has played the violin at Power APAC for 9 years. She has been a member of the Mississippi Youth Symphony Orchestra for eight seasons. Her best MYSO experience has been making lifelong friends and having the opportunity to travel the country and perform at locations such as Orlando, Florida, New Orleans, LA, and San Antonio,Texas.
This fall, she will be attending Alcorn State University in Lorman, MS where she will major in nursing with the ultimate goal of becoming a pediatric CRNA. An avid dancer, Rayven also desires to coach her own dance team one day. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, sleeping, and watching Netflix. Congratulations, Rayven!
